rockfangd
Hi everyone i am working on a 1994 pontiac GP coupe 3100 v6. The vehicle keeps running aweful and when i pulled codes one stated that the o2 sensor is either open or shorted so i want to put in a new one. Heres the problem, i guess there are 2 upstream sensors on the GP, which i do not understand because my 94 cuttys only have one My question is where is the second o2 sensor located. I know one is behind the engine between the firewall but does anyone know where it is located. Thanks to all in advance for the help

rockfangd
rockauto, advanced auto, federated auto, only for the GP though, not the lumina or the cutty. This does not make any sense at all to me because the code scanner doesnt say ban1 or bank 2 which made believe there is only one??? i also cannot find the wirig for the second one and all i know is there is no downstream only 2 upstream
Robby1870
There are not two upstream O2s. Trust your eyes. I did see on Advance's website on some O2s say two required, while others say one. Anyway, there is 1 upstream.

cutlassdude96
if your car did have 2, it would be behind the cat converter but thats only on OBDII cars 96+
