gmrulz4u Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 I have the Integrated Electronic EGR valve on my 2.8L, the one that was used up until 1991, and I thought I remembered reading somewhere online that when the engine is shut OFF, you should NOT be able to move the EGR diaphragm with your fingers, but I tried to today, and I was able to move it up with no problem... Does this indicate a bad EGR valve? THANKS! Quote
Redfox340 Posted July 13, 2003 Report Posted July 13, 2003 Well, no. However, I know for a fact though, if the car is running at an idle and you open the EGR diaphram the car should stumble / stall out. That technique makes sure that the diaphram is flexable / not damaged. - Erik Quote
