when i start my car the abs and parking brake light come on. If i hold my foot on the brake when i start it the lights are off. when i let my foot off of the brake the lights come back on... also i noticed that when i went to stop in the rain the other day i had no ABS. Any suggestion as to what this may be it is annoying the hell out of me

Low system voltage or possibly a wheel speed sensor (I only say the sensor because you say it trips the light after you start moving.) Check all of your battery cable connections (and the condition of the cables,) the condition of the battery itself, and have the alternator tested to be sure it's charging properly. Proceed from there.

If the charging system is in top shape, take the car in and have the ABS system diagnosed. There's too many variables there to simply guess.

I learned long ago that the ABS light trips you up to a bad alternator waaaaaay before the battery light does...

I know the alternator is fine i had it reamped to 180. Also i did have it tested and they were both fine, meaning the battery and the alternator. but i did notice that my voltage gauge is kinda low usually below twelve volts, more like eleven. The only thing about that is, the voltage gauge isnt connected to the battery, it is hooked up to the positive lead on my cd player. Thanks to the lazy man who hooked those goofy gauges up (shocktherapy)
