leman
i bought a used 92 gp and from what i can see the condessor in front of the rad has been romoved , for what reason unknown. I'm goona replace the condesor and all the o-rings at each fitting. Unshure if the compressor is good or not. right now its R-12 gas but when i go to fill it it will be 134-A. Does any one know how many pounds goes into a system that is empty. Also i am assuming with the 134-A it comes with oil or is that seperate. Need all the advice i can get. I am trying to find some good used A/C parts for my 92 GP 3.1L. Thanks
slick
Generally, it's 1-2 lbs of refrigerant for a system. You can buy the stuff premixed with the pag oil, or you can buy pag oil and R134a seperate. You can test the compressor by giving it 12v. IIRC, it is a 2 pin connector. slick
You might, yes. I am not totally sure on this, as I have never had to do it myself. There's a few topics about this, one should have that answer, or you can wait for someone to chime in.
