anyone interested in a intermediate shaft bracket group buy?

mods, i didn't post this in the group buy section because there is no group buy yet. i want to see how many people are interested before i waste my time.

 

so, there's a local welding and fab shop that fixed a crack in my intermediate shaft bracket. just on a whim, i asked how much it would be to have him make some out of 1/8" steel. i'm being told 50 bucks, and overnight turnaround.

 

so, given that, is anyone interested? i'd be willing to volunteer my bracket for a template. i'll charge no middle man fees. i think all iw ould need is a buck or two to buy some boxes to ship them in.

This is a great idea. With all the posts about people needing these, I think you will find several people interested.

yeah, that's what i figured. um, i odn't have any pics of their work. today was the first time i've been in there.

Sorry for the n00b question, but what/where is shis bracket, and what does it do? Which cars does it apply to?

It is for manual transmission cars, it holds the intermediate shaft to the engine.

 

I'd be interested, but $50 is more then i am willing to pay for that piece

 

I am 90% sure the 282 and 284 brackets are the same. I'll have to take a picture of mine.
