The top caliper bolt (10mmm) that the caliper pivots around when assembling snapped on my convertible. I drove for a couple weeks without knowing.

 

Has this ever happened to anyone?

 

I just got a replacement caliper bolt set and an ez-out and fixed it up.

about the rear calipers? Ive never heard of one breaking until now. :lol: But glad you got it fixed!

Never heard of one breaking before...but after seeing some of the other pictures of under that car I wouldn't doubt it lol..

Yea, Ive had one break taking them off before, I just heated it up red hot and out she came.

never had that issue. I guess you're talking about the fronts if you're referring to the vert!

I've had one back out and fall off on the road while driving before. I had even checked to make sure everything was nice and tight before putting the wheel back on, not sure what happened.

yeah me too. i didnt realize it til i was backing out of a parking spot and the caliper got wedged up against the rim and brought me to a jolting halt!!

These were the rears, 94+ upgrade.
