Addicted To Boost
Thanks Matt. I found the fitting, and will probably be charging up the system tomorrow. Are there any places that are common to leak that I should check before I charge it up? I already cleaned up the high and low side spigots and made sure that they don't leak, just wondering if there are any other common leak spots.. Thanks again! GOT2B GM
well, if you disconnect any lines, be sure to replace the o-rings at those connentions......other than that I'd say charge her up and see what happens.
Addicted To Boost
GAH! My Freeze 12 cans have spigots on them too small to fit my filler hose! I've already checked the local dealerships and all of the auto parts stores, heck even the hardware stores, and nobody has a filler hose or an adapter to fit the cans.... how has everyone else done this?? mfewtrail
Hmm, Nick. The last time I used Freeze 12(a few years ago), I filled the system I was putting it in by using a side-entry can tap & a manifold gauge set. This is what a side-entry can tap looks like. http://www.sjdiscounttools.com/mas85530.html
Addicted To Boost
So on that tool- my Freeze 12 can fits on one end, and my 134 hose will fit on the other end? Is that how it works? Thanks for the help!
Addicted To Boost
bump for the above question plz and thx
mfewtrail
Nick, you open up the clamp and put the can inside of it(there's a little pin in it like a normal can tap, but it will pierce into the side of the can instead of the top like the typical ones). When you have the can inside of it and clamp it shut, it pierces the can. You're going to want to clamp it near the top of the can. Your fill hose will attach to one of two fittings on the tap.
