DeathScythe
Was wondering how hard it is to replace the lower engine mount on a 3.1 because I have to do mine.
19Cutlass94
Get a floor jack with a piece of wood to jack up on the oil pan. Youll need to unbolt it from the cradle first. Once you jack up the motor a little bit, you can unbolt to two top bolts holding it on. Then take it out. To put the new one in is just the opposite. Robby1870
Keep the de-greaser handy! There are two different mounts available. One is a hydraulic mount (fluid-filled) just like the stock one; the other is a solid rubber mount available at NAPA. Search around this site and you'll find the part number. You will probably also find some reviews of solid mount; a few guys have gone to that. But, in general, like all solid mounts you might feel a little more vibration inside the car in gear, idling. DeathScythe
thanks Rob. I was going to go with the hydrullic because I can get on new for 30 bucks.
19Cutlass94
The only reason I would go with solid mount over hydraulic ( ok well 2 reasons ) 1) less movement 2) will last longer. But if you can get one for that cheap, go with it!
