geenick Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 On my 94 CS convertible, I'm having a problem with the driver door. The piece inside the door that holds it either 1/3rd or 2/3rds open has broken. It made a snapping noise one day when I shut the door. Now if the wind were to catch the door, it flies open until the wires for the electrical stuff in the door catch. I'm VERY careful to not let that happen. I don't want it to "Tommy Boy" on me. I haven't pulled the door panel off yet. Has anybody else had this break? Is it something that's hard to replace / repair? Quote
rockfangd Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 I have a replacement latch for 5$ if you need one. plus shipping. There is a ribber grommt outside of th door between the frame and the door. It attaches to the frame with a 13mm bolt and attaches to the door with 2 10mm bolts, it is removed from inside the door. Pm me. I can post pics also if needed Quote
geenick Posted June 8, 2007 Author Report Posted June 8, 2007 Please post a picture... Is it hard to install? I've had the door apart in the past to replace the driver's window... Quote
rockfangd Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 it is a really easy job to do. It is common on these cars. With the door panel off it is like a 10 minute job. I will post a pic Quote
