Turbo 3.1L on 4T60-E

I am looking to upgrade my 3.1L to one of those turbo 3.1L I located a couple in a junk yard but then I noticed the '89 and'90 TGP had a 4T60 tranny instead of the -E version. does the SCM control the 4T60-E? or what controlls it? Because if I do the upgrade I'm assuming I'll need to use the ECM from the turbo version but then I don't know if my tranny will still work. Anyone know?

There is no chip to use a 4t60E with a turbo 3.1 setup. IMO if you keep the boost low (under 6lbs) you'd be okey, but thats only my opinion

So do you mean keeping the boost low and using my existing non-turbo ECM?

what year is your car?

and yes in order to run boost you will have to have a TGP memcal (the chip inside the ECM, the ECM itself is the same.)

I was thinking about using the turbo setup, and mine does have the 4T60 tranny, but you gotta rememeber how old the parts are coming off.
