phantomFE3 Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 ok, i took the ground effects off my car a couple weeks ago, and they were held on by big globs of black silicone, and its really stuck on there good!!! i was wondering if you guys had any tips i could use to get the silicone off without harming the paint too much, im gonna repaint that part probably anyway so give me your suggestions, there is alot of it, i tried scraping it off with a flathead screw driver and got 1 part of it off but there is still some left and you can see it very clearly, it doesnt peel off all in 1 piece like most silicone does, its stuck on there really good!!! Baddflash Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 You could use paint thinner there are some that are fairly weak and won't hurt the paint, or possibly steam it and whipe it off with rag. :? :? Quote
