mdelorie
The rubber hose section is starting to leak. The cooler end is held on to the steel line with gear clamps, but the transmission end is crimped onto the lines. Does anyone know how to replace these? Do they come as an assembly with the steel line?
19Cutlass94
They come in full assemblies. Just unbolt them ( from the tranny and the radiator ) and simply replace them. Its the whole line, not just a section. There only like 20 bucks a pop too.
Robby1870
If you are in a pinch for time, just cut off the metal line right after the crimp and use a hose clamp with some new line. I had to do this last summer. Parts store didn't have the replacement lines in stock so I had to do this in the interest of time.
DavidHowell3633
If you're cutting steel transmission lines, use a tubing cutter so you don't get the filings in the fluid. I'll bet you knew that though.
