gp90se
Alright, im just going 2 list my complaints bout the grand prix: 1) Cant reset the DIC miles/range/servaces (which it says it needs all of), it says "miss op" on all of em. 2) The idle dips when in drive and not moving, im thinking burnt valve or fuel injector. 3) When going uphill, if the tranny downshifts it wont go right up 2 gear letting the motor spin and then slam into gear. 4) Theres a rattle for the rear p.side strut area and I cant find it. 5) The e-brake peddle wont stay down, and ive greased the connections 4 times. 6) its slow (turbo time) I think thats it for now, if any1 knows how2 fix any of the above, id appreciate it. -Jeff

I've greased it and still not holding down. What I end up doing is putting a spring on the e-brake pedal so that when I press it down, then the spring pulls it back and lock in place and then I can continue pumping it 1 1/2 times more and then the e-brake is fully engaged. Redfox340
Possible Suggestions: 2.) So does mine when you engage the tranny. Is it more of the car sputtering / dying on you, or a constant low idle? What RPM's? 3.) Sounds like old / low tranny fluid; slipping is the first major sign / problem related to that. Change it out first, there' been a TON of threads on how to do it, search among the clutter to find it. - Erik

You're not waiting long enough before you press the reset button on the DIC. That's why it says "Miss Op" 2.) The Idle dipping down is normal. 3.) Time for a new transmission. 4.) Is the rattle in the front or back? 5.) Your rear calipers are probably rusted tight...therefore your E-brake does not work.

SleeperRed90TGp
1-Here's instructions. http://photo.starblvd.net/~sleeperred90tgp/1-3-3.jpg?i=1055258339&pw=*21753EC2E3F6 2- If it doesn't die I wouldnt worry about it. Could be anything. 3-Take your foot out of it. If its a 460 no e add 3 qts fluid. 4-Check the strut boot on top of the strut. It's prob not connected anymore. Either that or exhaust hitting. 5-take the cover off and clean out the old hardnend grease that keeps the paw from engaging. 6- That's expensive
