xtremerevolution
I wanted to know if there was any way to upgrade the front or rear brakes on the 1st gen w-body, particularly a 1995 Buick Regal Coupe. I just put on 17" rims and I realized I could fit slightly larger brake rotors, but from what I hear you can't really get even 12" rotors on this car. Has anyone found a way to get larger overall brakes installed without a great deal of custom manufacturing?
Q-Ball
I know the 1995.5 - 1996 Grand Prix's assemblies can be swapped in for larger front rotors. I plan on doing this someday.
Dark Ride
You already have the best 1st Gen Rear Brakes. IIRC all W-bodies got the bigger front rotors from 95 to 96 so you may already have the best brakes available. If not, you can swap the strut knuckles for one with bigger brakes, but it may be more trouble than its worth. I think they are only .75 inch bigger. GnatGoSplat
I was thinking for 95, only the Montes got the bigger front brakes. I could be wrong though. It's been so long since I've researched this stuff that my memory is hazy.
pwmin
im sure some 95's got it. just measure your front rotor and see what size it is. 10 1/2 you have the old style, 11 1/4, you have the "new" style
Q-Ball
Yes some 95's did get it, but no all of them. Thats why I said 95.5- 96. Measure yours like said above, if not get some 96's in there.

19Cutlass94
even so, the difference in size you wont notice. Your better off just getting performance rotors such as drilled, or slotted/drilled with a good set of pads.
