jmoore4294 Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 I was looking at the Advance Auto Parts website, and came across this, and was wondering how hard it would be to install on a 95 Cutlass Supreme Vert. Designtech Daytime Running Lights Part Number: 20010 Quote
1990lumina Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 Shouldn't be very hard, just follow the instructions that come with it. I'm planning on doing a similar install on my RX-7 so the turn signals in the bumper are always on..only issue is they will have to be able to blink as well when they are supposed to... Not sure if pulling the DRL stuff from a Canadian car would be easier, but I'm sure installing that in the picture above shouldn't be too hard. Quote
jmoore4294 Posted May 29, 2007 Author Report Posted May 29, 2007 Can I ask why you want DRL's? I like the concept of Daytime Running Lights....and i've seen them on a lot of new cars, and have always wanted them, and this method is A LOT cheaper than buying a new car.... Quote
Psych0matt Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 why not just turn the switch? leave them on in the day, not hard Quote
5speedz34 Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 why not just turn the switch? leave them on in the day, not hard That would work, but real DRL's use reduced power for the running lights. Quote

1990lumina Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 Plus the tail lights aren't on - usually. My Dad's S60 always has the tail lights on though lol, fuckin Volvo and their safe"ness" Quote
PCGUY112887 Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 When I bought my new project 96 GP I saw that it had DRL's. First mod to it - DRL fuse pulled Quote
CSI_MuNkY Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 I think I have the one made for canada 1995 GP that doesn't have DRLs, lol. Even Q-ball has them and his car is a 92. I very much prefer it without the DRLs though, if I want my lights on, I know where the switch is. Jamie Quote

ZoomZoomFan Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 I like my DRLs. I also am easily amused and fascinated when they shut off when I put the car in park and switch back on when I go into reverse. Quote
IRONDOG442 Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 I think cuttys delivered to canada came factory with DRLS find one of them in a boneyard and pull the parts Quote
