Oldsmobile Desperado
Does the OBD-I interface communicate via 160 baud or 8192 on these cars? I'm trying to get software to read data via the serial port, and it looks like it discriminates based on the data transmission rate. Also, it looks like the rate matters when building a connector to RS232, the faster (8192) requires 2 transistors. I also tried to find the actual GM specification on the car, but it's either generic (for a bunch of cars), or non-existent - try to go to the GM's site and get a part number for a ECM, for instance. And lastly, does anyone know any link for OBD-I ALDL protocol. So far I only found the OBD-II ISO docs, etc.
digitaloutsider
You may want to try asking SappySE1o7 (Ben) on the 60degreev6.com boards. He might know.
GP1138
I think it's 8192.
