hell_raiser Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 how do you pop it i don't care about the boot all i need is the lower control arm (its a parts car) Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 you can use a pickle fork, or just use a BFH and hit the bottom. Quote
GutlessSupreme Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 Pickle fork, crowbar, BFH + a lot of time, swearing and aggrevation... or rent a balljoint seperator. Quote
slick Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 Depending on how well your balljoint is stuck, you might not be getting it out with a pickel fork. IIRC, Kent Moore(or one of the other specialty tool comanies) makes a ball joint tool for these vehicles. It reminds you of a C-clamp, but at the clamp it, it has a fork. Tightening the tool pops it out, and does not ruin the boot. Very ingenious design, I still wanna make a few. Quote
