gmrulz4u Posted June 24, 2003 Report Posted June 24, 2003 I want to temporarily disconnect my EGR Valve and EVAP System, just to see if I notice anything different, and run less Rich. So, assuming this is OK to do(not for more than an hour or so), do I just disconnect the two vacuum lines, one for EGR and the other one for EVAP, that come out of the throttle body? What can I use to "plug" the two small holes up while they're disconnected? THANKS! Quote
Baddflash Posted June 25, 2003 Report Posted June 25, 2003 I don't think you'll hurt anything as I've heard of other people doing that, don't quote me though as I've never tried. As far as plugging the holes a piece of wire or somethiing might work, a piece of hose with a bolt? If you got a junk drawer go digging I'm sure you'll find something. Quote
Robby1870 Posted June 25, 2003 Report Posted June 25, 2003 I think you're gonna be okay. The EGR is not open at idle, it opens above idle, so if you rev it, you will notice the change. All your going to have is some SES codes, and your A/C wont blow very hard Robby Quote
