mfewtrail
Yes, people have thought about it and done it already(both the 3.4 DOHC <---which you're probably referring to anyway and the pushrod "3400."). Search for "TimG," on here, he has a turbocharged 3.4 DOHC making right around 400hp(it dyno'd 325whp through a 4T60-E transaxle). Also, there's a guy on the Fiero boards with a turbocharged 3.4 DOHC that makes a lot of power(just shy of 400whp). That Fiero can be found here... http://www.fiero.nl/forum/Archives/Archive-000002/HTML/20070315-1-059855.html EDIT: Forgot to mention that "RedZMonte" here has a turbocharged 3.4 DOHC in his Monte Carlo.. Roadzombie
Agreed...anything can be turbocharged given enough time and money. And if you are refering to the 3.4L DOHC, you could make an amazing amount of power out of one. 4 valve / cylinder engines always respond exceptionally well to forced induction. joey b
what is the price to do a DIY DOHC?
Dirty Rockstar
what is the price to do a DIY DOHC? YHou're looking at 2k minimum is hardware. Expect to spend more than that to do it right, plus getting it tuned properly. It is considered free power yes, but it isn't cheap to harness it. I intend on a turbo LQ1 for the Lumina, but I need to get it done first..

Dirty Rockstar
a turbo LQ1 would own It would. I want one. I also intend to finish it when I begin. My first concern is getting the engine and transmission INTO the car.

SLAMDIT
I'm looking very seriously into doing the turbo 3.4 in my bagged cutlass. I am picking up a z34 5 speed car right now that just might become the donor. No promises that I will for sure do it but I am definately researching the money and all the things involved in doing this.
