z34duck Posted May 18, 2007 Report Share Posted May 18, 2007 those holes are empty. you put bolts in those holes to line up the intake and the gasket so you dont cross thread the intake bolts. GOT2B GM Posted May 18, 2007 Report Share Posted May 18, 2007 yeah, you temporarily put bolts in those holes when you are installing the lower intake manifold. They allow you to compress the gasket enough for the rest of the LIM bolts to line up. Once you have a few LIM bolts made, you can then remove the temporary bolts.
