So I just spent a pile of money on parts for the Regal. everything should arrive in the next week or so, who wants to help install the list is huge and will drop a significant amount of time from my 1/4 speeds.

 

I bought:

Pacesetter headers

Header install kit

1.9 modified rockers

rocker install kit

Dual catback exhaust

JMB FWI

ZZP MPS with a 3.4 and a 3.3

 

Already had the exhaust cutout for the rear bumper and I also have an aux transmission cooler to install as well, thinking I am going to buy a shift kit as well. That and a nice HPTuners tune and I am set....

 

So who want to help, I am thinking the first weekend in June.

Thats cool man. Is ure gs supercharged? Pardon my stuidity, I don't know a whole lot about that cars. Regardless if it is or not, that is gonna be a fun car.

Ahh thanks for clearin that up for me.

I have wanted one of those for a longtime, talk about your ultimate sleeper.

I remember one time years ago at the local dragstrip, an older gentleman was in the staging lanes with a regal. It was totally debadged and had the stock hubcaps on it and everything. No one payed ay attention to it until it SMOKED a C-5 vette. After he got back to the staging lanes everyone crowded around the car. Turns out those stock hubcaps had slicks hiding behind them and the car had a laptop on the passenger seat controlling the car.

It was so freakin cool, he had a car that looked like any old grandpa car and ran high 11's with it. I will never forget the vette driver and the look on his face when he got smoked.

be weary of those headers, i dont know of one person that hasnt had issues with them leaking!

 

BTW lemme know how you like that FWI once you get it.

Unfortunately that's not true. The '96 GS was the only year (that I know of) that didn't have the SC on it. And I was the lucky owner of one. :rolleyes:

I think he was referring to 2nd gen Regals. ALL first gen Regal GS's were naturally aspirated.

It is all in the install and adding a couple things like wider clamps at the Y and using the RTV. Also sinxe I am getting them from ZZP the crossover is already expanded to closer match the Y as well.

 

I also ordered the SLP exhaust yesterday, should be here Wednesday or Thursday, doing my exhaust bumper cut-outs this weekend so I can bolt it on one evening, and enjoy it over Memorial day weekend. :smile:

 

I am aiming for a mid 13's car, for this year at least. The only thing I am really missing is suspension. I am thinking of looking into some Grand Prix springs as they are a little lower then the Regal.

I'm getting sick of my boat-float. Every time I go from the Z34 to my GS, I just cringe at how terrible it really is. I'm going to find a 9C3 Impala and rip all the springs/sway bars off of it, along with KYB GR-2 struts. That car is going to handle decently, damnit.

 

MI isn't too far away, we should meet up one day!

Not just leaking, but how about just blowing off from the Y.

 

 

Kid did it at our dyno day.......needless to say im rather satisfied with my TOGs.

 

Not to bad man, if I was closer I would definantly help out
