ron350
Rochester or Bosch injectors? Did any 3100 motors come with Rochester Delphi injectors or did they all come with Bosch?

ron350
Just looking for info, until recently I did not know GM used more than one brand of injector. Rochester injector in top picture. Bosch injector in lower picture.
5speedz34
Bosch invented fuel injection?
ron350
Thanks 5speedz34 I did not know that Bosch invented fuel injection. I need to find articles on port fuel injectors. Put together a make shift flow tester yesterday using mineral spirits. All 6 Bosch L36 injectors flowed 240 ml. per minuet and 3 of the Rochesters did the same. The other 3 R. injectors were short by about 10 ml. Wish I could find a company that would sell me 6 Bosch filter baskets and 6 plastic nozzles. MonteCarloChick
I wouldn't buy anything with the Bosch name on it. Car parts or tools. Bad quality IMO

ron350
The reason I will probably go back with Bosch fuel rail and injectors is that the 98-99 fuel regulator recall was on Rochester only. The Bosch fuel regulator appears to all stainless steel construction. Who knows I might go with a Bosch fuel rail and Rochester injectors? Now if I can just find a L36 Bosch fuel rail that is not covered in white corrosion.
mfewtrail
Ron, take some of the posts above with a grain of salt. The Bosch injectors are very reliable. They're one product that Bosch does right(a lot of the others aren't as bad as some people make them out to be either). I honestly don't remember ever seeing a "bad" Bosch/Ford(Bosch makes Ford's injectors). Rochester's are "alright" as well, but I would trust Bosch over them(due to all the Rochester multec failures I've seen). Last year I replaced my badly leaking Multecs in my TGP with some Ford/Bosch injectors.
SleeperRed90TGp
I wouldn't buy anything with the Bosch name on it. Car parts or tools. Bad quality IMO Thats a stupid statment. Most everything on you car or replacement is bosch. Man I can't believe you guys. Wher did you learn that, another comic book reader.
