Just an idea

well, in reply to how the hooking up both with the spring... it would bee a stiff enough spring to fully open number 1... on the little plate that the cable attaches too, you would have to punch a hole closer to the center nut so that it takes very little movement to open it all the way, then after that the spring would take effect, allowing the second cable to continue opening the #2 TB...

also... i do have it so that it goes 2 to 1, but it is the same concpt as having a larger tb i guess... of course you would have to knock out the plenums and head and open them up a bit (or port them for the layperson)

also, robby, if you are ever in the denver area, lemme know, i'll show you around and show you my soon to be 600HP turbo sedan.

i was thinking that too, cuz im adding turbo to mine... the only real problem i see is space... the enginr compatment is restricted enough with no turbo... one turbo makes it almost impossible to fit anything else... im not sure how one would add dual turbo.. let alone another throttle body, but definately worth looking into...then the second TB would help for tuning purposes with the second turbo although i could see potential problems with the second turbo not being able to spool all too well due to intake back pressure... although for that matter, one could add a 50 shot of nitrous for spooling reasons and overcome that, but i dont think it would be as efficient... although, how cool would it be to be able to say, yeah, i have dual TBs, twin turbo and 50 shot of nitrous!!!!

hehehehehe, i dont think anyone would want to race you... hell... the turbos wouldnt even have to work and just kowing that they are there, no one would want to race... hehehehehe

imma do it :D :D :D lol

92turboLE,

If I am ever in the Denver area, I will look you up. I want to *eventually* and that being a few years down the road, when I Have money and time, turbo my 3.1L. 600HP, that would be badass. I was hoping for like 300-350 on like 18psi with mostly stock internals. Man, your car looks just like mine, I think your the only other guy on here with a 92 white LE sedan.

Slick94prix, If you can get this to work, I would be very interested, cuz I could easily pick up another TB at a junk yard for very cheap. I'll let you know though and keep us posted on what you come up with.

by the way... im Justin... i hate being refered to by a screen name... lol anyway, yeah man, for sure, look me up if you ever out here...

about the turbo thing... it really isnt all that expensive... with the exception of the trans mission, i will be less then a grand into it by the time it is done... thank god for junkyards.

get a junkyard turbo, junkyard engine if you can (got mine for 30 bones and it is spotless and had only 64K on it). Get GM performance parts, such as forged rods, pistons and cams. Unfortunately GMPP doesnt have the 1.6:1 rockers that i can find, where did you get yours???

i am getting the GMPP "stage 2" cam prt. #14031378 for 140. that aint shit... springs are 4 and some change a peice. its all little shit that makes the big difference.... i dont know yet where im getting the pistons... everyone tells me that GMPP makes em, but i cant find a part number for em, neither can 2 of the dealerships i checked at...

just some thaughts.

Like I said, I should be ordering new intake plenums off ebay soon, and the project will begin. The design of the plates will take some time, but it will be bad as hell, and I AM GONNA HAVE 2 TB'S!!!!!! That alone may scare people

Justin, I Got my rockers from http://www.compcams.com. Heres a better link: http://www.compcams.com/information/Products/RockerArms/MagnumRoller.asp Look at the 1.6 ones for a Chevy 60* V6 173cid. I got the rockers, new pushrods, rocker nuts and fulcrum balls for $176 shipped to my door.

Yeah, I know the turbo project wont be very expensive, in fact, I was bettin on less than $1000. I really dont have the time or garage space for the project now. I will probably go to a 5spd when I do the turbo project. Im just shooting for like 13s out of the car, nothing too crazy, lol. I would prolly get a TGP motor or just another n/a 3.1L and build it up, with the stuff you mentioned, then install the 5spd on it, and swap it over. At least thats how it is in my head
