MonteCarloChick
Lately I've noticed my car making this rather loud high pitched squealing sound (imagine a school bus braking). It does it when I'm going fast, slow, straight, around corners.. all the time. It's giving me a headache Any ideas on what it is? Thanks! Crazy K
does it change in pitch with engine rpm, speed, or gear?
NVMY03GT
Im going to take a guess on this as I don't know GM's brake system yet, but Im guessing your on the squeeler to let you know that brake pads are low. Anyone else's thoughts? Do they exist on the Monte?
Turbo231
If it is brake related, it could be the brake squealer or cheap/wrong pads.
DOHCRagtopguy
I would immediately check your brakes. Could be the warning tab scraping. Eliminate that first.
mediabandit
i agree, sounds like it is the wear pad that is making that noise.time to check the brakes.
