19Cutlass94 Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 Finally got around to doing my brake upgrade that Ive been wanting to do for some time now. List includes, 4 new painted calipers, body color, Goodridge stainless steel brake lines, semi-metallic pads, SP Performance slotted rotors. As of right now, driving is not bad, even though they say to break them in, I still think I got some air or something in the brake lines. This weekend Ill have to try and bleed them again and see if I can get rid of that. Heres some pictures of the work. ohh yeah, also got some new rear hubs too. rear Front On teh car! Quote
97loudcut Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 Looks like a quality product, but I am not digging the body color calipers at all. I am assuming these are reman calipers because it looks like the one front calipers has some gouges in it. Quote
Euro Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 nice job! I redid my front brakes over the weekend. I should've opted for rotors llike yours. And to paint my calipers....d'oh Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted April 30, 2007 Author Report Posted April 30, 2007 yeah its not bad. I kinda scratched the calipers when I put the front pads on... damn clip! Quote
GutlessSupreme Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 MINT. they look awesome that color. Quote
Euro Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 Are those the stock brakes? I can't remember my car ever having a caliper bracket like that? Quote
94CutlassSLCoupe Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 They are the stock ones for a 94 car. The fronts are the same on all 1st gens. Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted April 30, 2007 Author Report Posted April 30, 2007 yeah calipers are stock.. just painted. Quote
ns87 Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 Look awesome. What type of paint is that? Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted April 30, 2007 Author Report Posted April 30, 2007 Its just automotive paint with a high heat clear. I had the guy that does all my paint, primer, paint, and clear them. Used NAPA's MS paint for the primer and paint, then Dupli-color high heat clear Quote
White93z34 Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 i like it! get some bigger wheels though! Quote
jeremy Posted May 1, 2007 Report Posted May 1, 2007 Looks like a quality product, but I am not digging the body color calipers at all. . x2 Quote
Andrew Posted May 1, 2007 Report Posted May 1, 2007 damn, he did a good job painting those. looks great!! Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted May 1, 2007 Author Report Posted May 1, 2007 Thanks guys! No way Im getting different rims though. Dropped too much money on the combo and I love em! Ive gotta get some better pictures because it looks like shit in the direct sunlight. Quote
ns87 Posted May 1, 2007 Report Posted May 1, 2007 No offense to the people who say "get bigger wheels" but jebus, wheels are expensive. He just spent boatloads of money lowering and putting the car back on the road. I think those wheels look fine Quote
GP1138 Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 I actually like those wheels fairly well. Nice job on the paint! Quote
