I have a 1995 Chevrolet Lumina with the 3100 v6 and 66,000 miles, fondly dubbed Betty.

She's my daily driver, and will, performance-wise remain unmodified. I have a second car in storage that's my "fast" car. I'm pretty particular about the appearance of my vehicles, though, and I'm not liking how the marker lights and taillights look. Also, the search feature and I aren't getting along this morning, so apologies if some of these are repeats...

First off, is there a way to clear the taillights? I'd like to clear them before I tint them. I'll live if there's not a good way to do this.

Secondly, are there any vendors that sell clear marker light covers? I'd prefer them to be clear, but once again, I'll live if it's not possible. I can always tint them instead.

Third, does anyone have a recommendation for a particular brand of tint spray?

Thanks for your help. :)

I never get along with the search feature on here...

I say tint them, but I'm kinda bias. When I tinted my tail lights I used Nite-Shades, you should be able to get it at most automotive parts stores. It goes on very thin, so you have to be carefull not to get caught up in the "its not doing anything" thought, next thing you know your lights are black and your paranoid about the cops being all over you. :leaving:

Welcome, nice Lumina. I kinda like it with the white hubcaps!

First, the only way to clear the headlights would be to lose the ribbing or whatever it is on the backside of the lens. I believe on ebay they sell aftermarket headlight's that are blackened, so it gives it that tinted look. Second, also on ebay, I believe someone sells the clear side bumper lenses that you're talking about.

Tint spray, the only one I've heard of and will recommend is VHT Nightshades. You can pick that up at certain auto parts store IIRC, but also Summit Racing sells it for like $17 a can or something like that. Hope this helps!
