There is a plate that you have to drill out. Its two tack welds, comes out pretty easily. The vacuum tank needs to be reloacted, not hard, just remount it in the same place.

I always had a problem with my car starting when hot with my battery reloaction. But then again all I did was put it in the back and run a 4ga wire to the aux terminal post. The correct way is to run a 2 or 0ga wire to the starter directly and run plenty of ground wires. I also bought the new design starter.

I have 2 gauge running to my remote terminal and haven't had a problem, however I have a group size 78 battery with 1000 ca. so it is a little stronger then the stock batter.

What are the bad things about putting it in your trunk?

If you race you have to have a switch on the back of your car, thats why I decided not to relocate my battery. The park I race at maintains NHRA rules even just for test and tune.

NHRA rules state:

If the battery is not in the stock location, and relocated to the trunk for example, you must have an external cut-off switch on the back of the car which cuts off the electrical system and must also stop the car from running

To me, that switch would not only be an eye sore, but adding that switch will just beg all the ricers to try and race you on the street. And with the way Ontario is cutting down on street racing, a cop sees someone else try to race you and your both in trouble.

So my battery stays where it is... but, $130 is too rich for my blood for now(not saying its not worth it, I just can't spare that money right now) so I guess I'll have to figure something else out.
