Cooling fans not working?

I'm beginning to seriously question if my cooling fans are working right.

I know there are two fans, so under what conditions are one/both of them supposed to be running? I always thought that one had to turn on when the A/C is turned on, but that does not happen in my car.

Assuming that there is a problem, would this be a simply replacement switch issue, or buy a whole new fan assembly?

thanks!

IIRC-The A/C causes the passenger side fan to come on. The Drivers side fan comes on at 230*?

You used to be able to replace the motor, but I would just replace the whole assembly.

Do you know how to check for codes? That's the best way to tell if the fans are working. I think it only spins the drivers though.

You can jump the relay too IIRC to be sure the fan motor is working, and that is isn't a relay issue.

That is correct. That is what I did to find that one of my fans wasn't working properly. I suggest you go that route, as it's probably the easiest to determine what you need to do next.
