mdelorie Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 Does anyone know about the availability of this kind of thing? The dealer can't get it, and I've been told that you'll never be able to get a piece of bulk line bent in the same manner as the factory stuff. Quote
GutlessSupreme Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 http://www.hrpworld.com/index.cfm?form_cat_id=313,262,49,363&action=category HIGHLY recommend them for SS brake lines. they're the cheapest place you'll find the G-stop lines and I was very impressed with their customer service. These lines replace the rubber/nylon? whatever lines that connect your calipers to your main lines. The way you phrased it, you're looking for the main lines, however I'm pretty sure there's no such thing as performance hard lines, and you also can't buy full prebent brake lines anywhere for our cars, you'd have to buy straight line and bend them yourself. mdelorie Posted April 23, 2007 Author Report Posted April 23, 2007 Yeah... that's what I was afraid of. I bought a bending tool, but the bend radius on it is like a full inch. Any way to acheive tighter bends without kinking it? Quote
Q-Ball Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 Just copy your old lines. If your turning it tight, make it a longer run to turn. Think of it as 2 circles. 1 big and 1 small. The bigger one will not kink cause its a longer run. Quote

Dark Ride Posted April 26, 2007 Report Posted April 26, 2007 Yeah... that's what I was afraid of. I bought a bending tool, but the bend radius on it is like a full inch. Any way to acheive tighter bends without kinking it? I bent my brake lines for the TGP with out a bender at all. Just go slow and gentle, you'll be fine. Quote
mdelorie Posted April 26, 2007 Author Report Posted April 26, 2007 Would heating it slightly help the bending process without damaging the line at all? Quote
