LuminaPower92
Hey sup peeps Quick Question What I got here is a 98 Monte Carlo with a 3.8 L and the fan runs continuously, You pull the relay out and it shuts off. Is there an open in the circuit? Any body experience this before? Also my other question was when you go to start it, it starts but shuts off right away, and kinda has a sound of a vacuum just before it shuts off, like a leak or something. Any Ideas, maybe out of gas? Thanks in advance\ Brian
Euro
Do both fans run constantly or just one? A few days after I got my GP both fans were on at all times. The t-stat was stuck in the open position.

ron350
The PCM gives the cooling fan relay ground turning the fan on. The temp sending unit can be bad telling the computer the temp is over 212*. The PCM can be bad. You can have a wire grounded between the PCM and the temp sender or between the PCM and the relay.
