Nick1234
Here is the deal. I have been eyeing up the exhaust system for the second gen w-bodies and gmpd. Now this will be roughly $540 and i know what it sounds like from donutboys install on his MC. GMPD KIT: Advantes: stainless steal no welding envolved don't have to order other parts Disadvantages: have to remove resonator not sure how it will fit Price... See i thougt about getting some mandrel bends and constructing my own system, but there are down sides to that. Hard to make fit right. Where do i find the Y bend to extend to dual exits. I have to weld the whole system. may not come out even. Lots of odering I will be going 2.5 as well. Any suggesting. Photos would be great! slick
Go to summitracing.com and buy a couple 8 ft sections, 2 or 3 180* bends, and I believe they sell Y-pipes n there also. Drop your exhaust and use it to mock up the new.
Euro
yeah I think you'll be happier if you custom build one yourself.
Nick1234
See but im not sure if it is going to come out as clean. I don't want some hack job install. Im not a good welder. And i don't know if i want to pay a muffler shop. The experience i have with them seems they are out to f someone over.
19Cutlass94
Well if you want something thats clean and just bolts up, the GMPP is the way to go. If you dont mind paying more for it though. You could always use clamps and shit, but thats not clean and wont last as long either. If your really unsure about how good of a job youll do, get the GMPP. Even if you get all the parts through ordering everything, pay a shop to weld it up, and what ever else you need to pay for, who knows what thatll cost in comparision
Nick1234
the mufflers will cost just over $100. Magnaflows about $54 a piece. The bends are aprox 10-15 bucks a piece. and i need about 5 of them. Then the straight pices. the Y bend so i can make the dual outlet. And that doesn't include misc. parts i may need to make it fit right. i don't know. maybe if i had an abundent supply of parts...
