Alright, I deleted my last reply and am just m aking a new one, lol

There should be a 7mm or 9/32 bolt holding the trim below the steering column.. Remove that, and you should then be able to reove any of the sam sized bolts from the trim if applicable (I ever actually got to install one in a 1.5) after that, it's pretty straightforward.. Try PMing DiscoStudd.. He and his wife had a 96 Lumina IIRC and he can probably be of some more help!

I also do not know if there is a difference between column shift and floor shift.. :willynilly:

Just pull the trim back and off. If it's column shift, put your foot on the brake and hold it there, and put the car into the lowest gear you can(you can do this while the car is in accessory mode, doesn't need to be turned on to do this). The Lumina's/Monte Carlo's can be a little fun to get the deep ass guage cluster trim and the left side pocket out, but you'll figure it out.

It's a floor shift, and I figured it out thanks!
