Can I snip off the screw connector and just use what's attached to the adapter harness? Thanks guys.. I just popped some nyquil, so I'm off for the night.. Garrett Powered Posted April 17, 2007 Report Share Posted April 17, 2007 I usually get a 12 gauge speaker wire piece and use a heat shrink style ring terminal with a self tapping screw and make sure you sand it down real good first for a good contact. cut all but 3 inches off the ground coming out of the deck and use a posi-lock connecter there. the screw type butt connecters for quick release or add-ons.
