From the looks of it, the 5 speed shifter uses the same things. problem is, the auto studs aren't long enough to fit through the shifter bushings on the 5 speed one. can I just buy new studs and pop them into the auto clips? or any other ideas? GutlessSupreme Posted April 17, 2007 Author Report Share Posted April 17, 2007 I ended up popping the original studs out of the clips and replacing them with 2" carriage bolts. might have to dremel at least a 1/4" off of them though because they push the carpet up where the console sits. but the shifter's in anyway. now I just have to ghetto rig my console top/shift boot together.
