ismellrealbad
for numerous reasons, decided to do the gasket. after pulling and cleaning i noticed paint chips missing on the inside. of course it is only going to continue....however i would like opinions on next course of action (slap it back on/replace). i dont think its a good idea for paint chips to be getting caught in bearings, or maybe im just worrying. if i get a used one it sprobably going to have the same problem, an new one will cost too much and i dont think i should put it back on. RJansen658
I would replace it. How much could it possibly cost? Piece of mind is priceless.

5speedz34
Usually $50 bucks. Order a GM one from GM Parts Direct and its $50 and some change. I wouldn't worry about paint chips personally.

5speedz34
24504719 That is the part number for my '92. 3.4 DOHC. Is this for a L67? I thought you had the DOHC. PS-Stamped part numbers are usually never right. GM changes them on a regular basis.

no1kicker
You could look for an aluminum oil pan found on the L32.

I have ordered from GM Parts Direct more than a dozen times, NEWGMPARTS.com as well. I always use thier online catalog, and it hasn't been wrong yet.
