briandors Posted June 17, 2003 Report Posted June 17, 2003 I did my rear struts tonight. There are a total of 5 fasteners I worked on. - Two bolts that hold the mount to the unibody. - One nut that holds the strut shaft to the mount. - Two bolts at bottom of strut cartridge. My car does have the rear sway bar, but no auxiliary springs. 1995 Cutlass Supreme convertible. NONE of the holes for the bolts were elongated! All were a perfect, tight fit. So where is this camber adjustment people talk and warn about? Hope I didn't goof up the job, don't see how though. Brian Quote
god910 Posted June 17, 2003 Report Posted June 17, 2003 What kind of struts did you use? That has alot to do w/ it. Factory struts don't (afaik) have adjustments, but the KYB GR2's that I just installed DEFINATELY have adjustability. If the holes at the bottom of the strut were oval than they are adj. Man, even I am confused right now. Quote
briandors Posted June 17, 2003 Author Report Posted June 17, 2003 I decided to go with Monroe Reflex struts. Unless I was really not paying attention, the holes at the bottom were round. BTW, as far as ride goes, I can definitely recommend these! I was told they were more about handling and less about comfort than the Sensatrac's and so far I love 'em. Brian Quote
