I love it. I parked beside a black cutlass coupe with the CS 5 spokes, and the GP 5 spokes look worlds better then the cutlass 5 spokes do, IMO. They are also wider than the cutlass 5 spokes, and i Believe they have a slightly different offset, but im not too certain about that.

This coming from the guy who had a Grand Prix steering wheel in his Cutlass. :rice:

owned that is true  didn't stay in there forever though. It did work good for the radio controls, more than I can say for the original one.

meh, theyre alright. If the price makes it worth it, you could always sell your cutty rims, or sell those even. I wonder what the white gp wheels like that would look like...

nah, I've seen BYP Grand Prix's with "B4U" wheels that stuck out just like it does on that Cutlass (the crosslace GP wheels are the worst offenders). Without the body cladding, those wheels don't sit right with me. I've always wanted to run those GP 5 spokes because of the 7" width, but I don't think I'll ever get used to the wheel position.

  • 2 weeks later...

The 88-93 Regal leather GS steering wheel is #1 in my book. I took a grey one and blacked the leather to match the shifter knob. You can put a different emblem into the center very easy. See my www site for a couple pics.

I always liked the wider stance of the GP wheels. Never could afford though.

I <3 my GP 5 spokes.

these are some shit ass pictures but it's freshly washed/ghetto spray waxed/tire shined

unfortunetly my wheels have suffered a lot of curb damage since I've gotten them :( (as well as my fender but that's what I get for having too much fun on a freshly waxed hood )

I'll have to get some money shots when it's light out tomorrow.

an older day time pic (pretty sure the wheels were slightly to pass. side but only a smidge). how much more flush they are with the body in the rear totally makes up for any amount they stick out in the front. it's really not as much (or at least as noticeable) as it looks here. these where with 215/60s, I have 225/60s on there now (which rub a tad at full lock) but the larger diameter definetly looks better.

btw, while we're on the subject of Cutlass rim choices, here is something I would never recommend to anyone  :

maybe if they were all silver it would've been ok, but the black/white combo and the 245s sticking out so far was really overkill. holy shit did it handle better though.

having too much fun on a freshly waxed hood

Sliding across the hood by your ass?

yea and not quite placing my ass high enough a couple of times  fuckin hurt to, running full speed ass first into a fender

where do they rub? That kinda sucks, because 225 series tires are not even that wide. Unless they rub due to the height?

I'm not sure, because there are some rub marks from when I had the 245s on there too. They didn't rub with the 215s on the 5 spokes or with the 225s on the sawblades, definetly has to do with the offset/size combo.
