Anyone know where I can find a good writeup on a 284 clutch replacement?

As the topic says I'm looking at replacing the clutch. I got the hydraulics working again but the damn thing rattles so much and I think it's just getting worse that it's time for new parts. Can the engine stay in the car or are we looking at a total teardown?
