RJansen658
I usually tell my customers to come back after 200 miles, but on my own vehicles I change it 50 miles or so later. I would say 500 is too long to wait. More or less I'd say its preference...

mfewtrail
Did you spill any coolant into the crankcase when changing the LIM? If so, change it ASAP.
stockgp
there was already a bit in there when i chaged the gasket. i soaked up as much as i could with a couple rags. then i changed the oil and flushed and filled the coolant. now i'm going ot change it again
19Cutlass94
When I did my LIM gaskets, I put the engine back together, put fresh oil in it, let it run until it was at operating temp, then changed it right there.
gp90se
When I do the intake on my camaro (about 1ce a season) I usually change the oil after a quick run to clean out any coolant gets in the oil (and can get in the berrings)
