intern8tion9l Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 can anybody on here post up some pics of how the z34 hood vent mount to the hood? i'm thinkin about installing them on my cutlass and i want to figure out how to do it Quote
5speedz34 Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 Umm I could maybe in a few hours....if I can find a camera that works. Quote
intern8tion9l Posted April 6, 2007 Author Report Posted April 6, 2007 thanks guys. hmmmm...i wonder what i can make that will do the job. you have any problems not using the drip trays? Quote
Z34-5speed Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 Not really. Just make sure the exposed electrical stuff if covered up, and if you have a short ram think about moving it or putting a cover over it so when it rains it doesn't get soaked. Quote
5speedz34 Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 I keep the covers off and then when it rains I put the drip trays back on. I think thats the way I did it. I attached them with velcro. Quote
intern8tion9l Posted April 6, 2007 Author Report Posted April 6, 2007 i lack the drip tray, so i'll have to get them down the raod. all i have is the vents and screens. i'm thinking maybe some small pieces of angle iron under the hood to attach the bots to? any thoughts? Quote
Q-Ball Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 I've never had problems not using the drip trays. They are for the weak. Quote
GOT2B GM Posted April 7, 2007 Report Posted April 7, 2007 Putting GP louvers would be easier to install because they sit on top of the hood, where as Z34 louvers sit flush in a recessed stamping. Quote

I'd do Gp louvers Quote
Q-Ball Posted April 8, 2007 Report Posted April 8, 2007 Any idea how a Z34 hood would fit on his cutty? If possible. Quote
Euro Posted April 8, 2007 Report Posted April 8, 2007 Any idea how a Z34 hood would fit on his cutty? If possible. I don't think that is possible. His hood is more curved at the front. Quote
intern8tion9l Posted April 8, 2007 Author Report Posted April 8, 2007 i have tgp ones too, i just like the look of the z34 ones better, and the fact that they are flush. maybe i'll get another cutty hood to hack up and see how it works out Quote
