shim flywheel?

I think I read somewhere that when you get your flywheel resurfaced, you're supposed to shim it when you put it back on the motor? is this true?

 

also, should anything in particular be done to flywheel/pressure plate bolts? like loctite or anything.

i have never heard of shimming that before.

you can use loctite on the flywheel bolts if you want, but its not necessary. just torque to specs.

Ive never heard of using a shim for the flywheel. Your not taking off that much materla where you would absolutly need something as such.
