clutch woes...please help!

ok so this problem started last june, and today i finally got the tranny out to take a look. not that the car has driven much in the meantime. i'll do my best to describe this, but it'll prob be kind of tough.

i am getting a nasty chattering sound from what i think is the clutch, because it is really loud when engaging the clutch, and then stays constant as i am driving. its strange though because it only happens when the car gets warmed up; and the hotter the car gets, the louder the sound is. its like a ticking sound, and whatever is hitting does so in a group of 3. tick-tick-tick. damn this is hard to explain...wtf.

anyways, looking at the pressure plate you can see 3 obvious spots of more wear, which i think line up with similar marks on the flywheel. i just don't know what the hell is wrong.

feel free to ask questions, because i know this is the worst description ever. i'm hoping some people on here are a little more familiar with clutch issues

parts i changed: new oem flywheel, centerforce dual friction clutch, muncie throwout bearing. i've only put 4000 miles on this stuff, with about 6-700 break in period. i think people have complained a bit about the centerforce...which i read about after the install of course

All the heat spots on the flywheel and those wear spots on the clutch are more than likely from it slipping. That noise can be a result of that. BTW, when you come up here next time, bring the flywheel with you and Ill have it re-surfaced for you. No way you can run it like it is.

I think you might have gotten the 5 'oclock special on that clutch.... but either way I think you should upgrade to that spec stage 3 clutch. Much better clutch for the same amount of money you paid for that thing.

How much was it slipping though?
