kuwaitliberation Posted June 10, 2007 Report Posted June 10, 2007 So is anyone ever going to post a pic of this mystery part that stops our roofs from fully dropping ? Inquiring minds want to know ! (and see a pic of it and location) http://www.w-body.com/forum/index.php/topic,55664.msg723527.html#msg723527 They are right there.... Quote
Psych0matt Posted June 11, 2007 Report Posted June 11, 2007 So, I had a thought. well, first of all, how would you replace that part anyways? secondly, Aweb has made all sorts of things, why not something small like this? i mean if a bunch of us need it anyways, i cant see it being to incredibly expensive. not $250 anyways. i think if someone knew what measurements to take and could maybe draw something up and let him in on it, maybe we could all fix this. I'll point him to this thread Quote

Psych0matt Posted June 11, 2007 Report Posted June 11, 2007 awesome, I pmed him kind of explaining things. mine's been broken probably since long before i bought it. it;d be great to finally have it go down all the way!we'll see if he shows up in this thread Quote
AWeb80 Posted June 11, 2007 Report Posted June 11, 2007 matt send me a pm to come here....i could prolly have one made...i'll just need one in hand so i can get one made.... Quote
GnatGoSplat Posted June 15, 2007 Report Posted June 15, 2007 You can have what's left of mine, I kept the broken pieces. I just need to drill it out. I'm thinking it can just be drilled out and reattached some other way, maybe using bolts or something with a cotter pin. I don't know where to get the nylon (or teflon?) bushings though. The factory piece includes the corner of the top frame, so removing the fabric is required. I had asked Jeremy how much for this piece from the vert he was parting, but I think it was too much trouble to remove it. Quote
Crazy K Posted June 16, 2007 Report Posted June 16, 2007 let me inspect the mechanism I salvaged for these parts. maybe I can hook us all up! Quote
