rockfangd Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 Hi i just wanted to see if anyone has ever tried this approach to installing their car starter and or keyless entry/ alarm. just bought a codealarm module and it is so big that it looks quite difficult to mountin the dash so i looked in the cubby behind the DIS and it looks like the perfect place. (its the closed in area behind the sport pod. If anyone has any other ideas i am all open. I currently have a bulldog security starter but i am upgrading and i want to make things as easy as possible ) [attachment deleted by admin] Removed to free up storage space. Quote
Dirty Rockstar Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 There actually is LESS room back there than somewhere under your dash.. I have some RCAs running back there for my iPod interface, and they are STUFFED back there.. There should be enough room under your dash for the box though.. Maybe put it under the hood somewhere? On the firewall? Quote
rockfangd Posted March 24, 2007 Author Report Posted March 24, 2007 possibly. Maybe it is not as big as i thought Quote
slick Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 Umm.... 1st gen w body's have a ton of room under the dash to fit the wiring and brain. Quote
Justin Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 I wouldn't mount any alarm or autostart module under the hood. There's plenty of room under the dash, near the e-brake lever. If I can shove everything in there with my clutch pedal up there, the majority of you with autos should have no problem. Quote
1990lumina Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 Mine up gaainst by the e-brake area....looks like the brain is half bent the way the installer mounted, but w/e, it works Quote
rockfangd Posted March 25, 2007 Author Report Posted March 25, 2007 cool thanks. I am forgetting exactly where i ran my current starter lol Quote
