Slade901 Posted June 14, 2003 Report Posted June 14, 2003 Manufacturer recommends replacing the brake fluid around 24 months or so to prevent moisture build up and rust in the brake system and seize calipers, etc. Moisture decreases the boiling point of the brake fluid. Quote
91GranSport Posted June 14, 2003 Report Posted June 14, 2003 Man, I've had my car for 3 years and put 40,000km+ on it and never replaced the brake fluid yet. Damn, I guess I should do that soon, eh? I'm still a little unsure about how to bleed brakes. Manufacturer recommends replacing the brake fluid around 24 months or so to prevent moisture build up and rust in the brake system and seize calipers, etc. Moisture decreases the boiling point of the brake fluid.
