fargo_182
On the 3.4 you know where the collant hoses all meet on the pasenger side at the front. Well for starters the idiot who I bought it from put a thermostat in there and for a year now I couldnt for the life of me figure out why it was over heating, it was backwards too btw. Garages thought it was a head gasket and I kne wit wasn't. Anyways he stripped the hole the top piece goes into on this connector so I was just wondering is it removable or part of the block? I can't really see, just wondering if someone knew. If its replacable I can fix it if not I don't know what to do.
jtmarten
I'm not surprised someone put a stat in there. The housing looks like a stat housing. I'm pretty sure that housing bolts directly to the block. If the block is stripped you'll have to drill/tap for a larger bolt, and ream the bolt hole on the housing, or drill/tap and install a Helicoil thats the original size.
