-Finding polished torque stars....

if you get that car, and are seriously interested in a set...let me know, and let me know what wheels teh car has now...my torque stars are going to become winter wheels, and for the right price i'd be willing to trade them for something else...

  • 2 weeks later...

Well my projects on the regal have already started with new serp. belt and coolant flush a few weeks ago, new exhaust from the cat back last week. So far this week, I've replaced the passenger side wheel bearing and half shaft since when I was doing the wheel bearing I noticed that the inner cv boot was wide open and the joint almost completely separated. Then today I decided to have my trans filter replaced and filled up with some fresh fluid. I think I've got it pretty reliable right now, so I'm going to focus on the electrical gremlins in my door locks and window switches, is it common for these 1st gen W's to have intermittent issues with the door locks and windows switches?

Very anxious to get started on the Z. I need to do:

- Valve cover gaskets

- Paint/source new front fenders and hood

- Repair various and sundry interior parts

- Fix idle problem

- New dual exhaust

I want to do:

- New dashpad with HUD cutout

- Install OHC from Impala that I just bought, which requires retrofitting the sunroof controls into the bezel, or just relocating the OHC display and controls, Steve style

- Install stock radio or newer head unit

- New front struts

well I will be putting on my GMPP exhaust (tomorrow) and still have my GMPP handling kit to get on. Then I'm sure I will find other things to do. I will make a FWI after a handling kit.

 My to-do list........

A/C evap core replacement definetly.... florida summers are too uncomfy

upgrade the quality of my 4-wheel disc brakes

add sound system that was just biult for me

add '00 grand prix spoiler painted to match

convert the rest of my exterior lights to LED bulbs

change my exhaust from single to dual outlet, with flowmaster 40's

and hopefully start the interior modifications..... changing it to almost all white with some color contrast, which I am sure you can guess what color by the phrase I use

That's just this summer..... can't wait till the fall and next spring! So many bigger plans to be done! This spring's big plans were already done... that was the paint and body work, plus the new rims

Puttin the Regal back to stock, selling it, and starting the mods on the IMPALER. In fact, I just picked up this bad boy the other day:

After digging around the NAIOAA forum, I found that the SWC's on that wheel are plug-n-play with the clockspring I already have in my car.

Also picked up an iPod adapter for the stock headunit, which I'll be putting back in soon:

I'm also going to be converting the IMPALER to console shift as soon as I can round up the parts for the conversion. Again credit for the info on the conversion goes to the NAOIAA forum.

Gotta do some immediate mods to the 07 Impy now. I'll be installing WeatherFlectors (VentVisors,) a PanaVise cell phone holster bracket, and a WheelSkins leather steering wheel cover ASAP...
