PJB Posted June 12, 2003 Report Posted June 12, 2003 Where can I get an adapter to make the steering wheel controls on a '97 Cutlass Supreme work with a Pioneer DEH 1000 deck? My friend put the deck in his car and it needs the adapter because the controls dont work. I remember somebody saying Best Buy has it, but they no longer carry it and Circuit City didnt really know what I was talking about. Does somebody have one theyre willing to sell? Quote

GnatGoSplat Posted June 14, 2003 Report Posted June 14, 2003 He might still have a chance if it has an IR receiver (the "eye" for the remote) and can get ahold of a remote to program the SWI-X. I've seen some stereos can support a remote but don't come with them. If it has no IR receiver, then he's pretty much SOL. Quote

toastemcutlass Posted June 15, 2003 Report Posted June 15, 2003 i didnt know before yesterday about the pac and today i got one at best buy for 60 bucks, it only took four wires and it was in. and to think I spent hours looking over the wiring diagrams of the hvac and stereo to try to get the controls back. :x Quote
