Stevo Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 ok ... theres 2 GT's ... no GTPs for sale in this stupid town. 1st one is a 2002' GT /w 90,000kms for $11k in black n black (no pics since it was covered in snow) 2nd on is a 1999 3800 (gt?) w/ 100,000 for $7k and you can pretty much eat off every inch of the car it's that clean. I think the 99' is the better deal and the fact that the red was super clean pretty much was a clincher for the two. Is this a good deal? Also what should I look for? Quote
Q-Ball Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 How many doors? 7k for 99 I think is somewhat high. Although from the pic its pretty mint. I've seen them lower, but again I was never in the market for one so I never payed close attention to the specs of them. Quote
Crazy K Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 how about driving to the U.S. and smuggling a Cs back? Quote
Stevo Posted March 7, 2007 Author Report Posted March 7, 2007 how about driving to the U.S. and smuggling a Cs back? LoL I sooooo want to do that. Quote
Euro Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 yes, then you can give this red one to me Quote
Andrew Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 $7k($6k US) is kinda high for that. but ifs its mint, then go for it. that = 62k miles btw. FWIW: 2.5 years ago, i paid $5k US for my 98 GT, all options but sunroof, with 110k miles. Quote
Euro Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 62k miles for $7k isn't high around here. Even for a GT you'd be payin 7500+ for one with 60k on it Quote
runt Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 I don't think that is too bad of a price. A tad high, but nothing out of the ball park thats for sure. The only real thing I can think of that would be wrong with the car would be in the Intake Manifold since I know some of the 3800's liked to blow coolant pretty bad, but thats only if it had the plastic Intake Mani. Other than that you konw enough about cars for what to check. It's a '99 so your out of the ballpark of the super crazy electrical things which is good. Quote

jeremy Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 <----not really a fan of bright red cars, but if it is as clean as you say that it is the car sounds like a solid deal.... Quote

Andrew Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 come grab this one from the US. about $7k canadian for a 2000 GTP !! http://www.w-body.com/forum/index.php/topic,55213.0.html Quote
Stevo Posted March 8, 2007 Author Report Posted March 8, 2007 I think I pewped a lil'. =( Oh well. Importing a newer car is for people who have money. It only takes one thing to have a car not allowed through and be forced to have to leave it at the border. Quote
