greekguy7
The steel coolant line that goes from the water pump to my heater core is leaking. I was planning on cutting the steel line near where its leaking and clamping on some new heater hose all the way to the water pump. What size heater hose do I need? Any drawbacks doing it this way instead of buying a whole new assembly?? Thanks!!
5speedz34
No many people do this. Should be 5/8" heater hose.
greekguy7
Finally got around to cutting out the old steel line and putting heater hose in its place. It turned out to be 3/4". It went pretty well and I will keep an eye on it. It did take me a while to bleed the system though when I refilled it.
